Terms of use
This is a translation for convenience. The German version is legally binding.
As of 25 October 2026
1. Provider and scope
relyo.de is provided by Jochen Maurer, Evereststrasse 41, 81825 München, Germany (legal notice). These terms apply to the use of the relyo.de service: the server for support sessions (relay), the console for supporters and the delivery of the software components (SDK) at relyo.de/sdk.
They apply to operators who include Relyo in a website or app and to supporters who enter a code on relyo.de. The software itself is licensed under 0BSD regardless.
2. Demo service without warranty
- relyo.de is a free demo service. It may be used as it is (“as is”).
- I give no warranty: no commitment to availability, function, freedom from errors, security or fitness for a particular purpose. There is no entitlement to use or support.
- I may change, restrict or discontinue the service at any time without notice, set limits (for example concurrent sessions, duration, bandwidth) and block individual websites, apps or IP addresses.
- relyo.de is not intended for production or business-critical use. For that, run Relyo yourself.
3. Obligations of operators
Operators who include Relyo in a website or app
- inform their users about the support function in their own privacy policy and name relyo.de as a processor,
- mask all areas with sensitive data beyond the automatic masking (for example health data, ID numbers, bank details in free text),
- use Relyo only for support with their users’ knowledge and consent and do not bypass the consent dialogs or the status bar,
- do not use the service for unlawful purposes, covert surveillance or content that infringes the rights of others,
- do not put excessive load on the service, for example through automated sessions or load tests.
4. Obligations of supporters
Supporters only use a code that the user has given them personally, and only to help that user. Guessing codes, recording or passing on screen content without the user’s knowledge, and taking control against the user’s will are prohibited.
5. Blocking
In the event of breaches of these terms or suspected abuse, I may block accounts, websites, apps and IP addresses without notice and end running sessions.
6. Liability
Liability for damage arising from the use of relyo.de is excluded to the extent permitted by law. This includes loss of data, outages, lost profits and consequential damage.
Liability for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and for fraudulently concealed defects cannot be excluded and therefore remains unaffected.
Operators indemnify me against third-party claims based on a breach of section 3, insofar as they are responsible for the breach.
7. Data protection and processing on behalf
How relyo.de processes data is described in the privacy policy. For operators who include Relyo in their own websites or apps, relyo.de processes their users’ data on their behalf. The data processing agreement applies; it becomes part of these terms with the first integration of Relyo that uses relyo.de as its server.
8. Changes
I may change these terms with effect for the future. The current version is always available on this page. Anyone who does not agree with a change stops using the service.
9. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive them of the protection of mandatory provisions of the country in which they have their habitual residence. If the operator is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Munich. Should any provision be invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid.
